Extra-curricular activities

Students at Enfield Public School are given many opportunities to participate in activities outside of the classroom.

Dance and Choir

A group of students are selected each year to participate in the Our Spectacular concert at the Sydney Opera House. Students participate in weekly rehearsals and also perform at special school assemblies.

NSW Primary Schools Sports Association

Students have the opportunity to be selected for the T-ball, softball, netball, and soccer teams. All teams participate in weekly training sessions to build their skills and play a game against a school in our area each Friday.

Debating

Students in Years 4-6 are given the opportunity to participate in debating. The debating team meets weekly to prepare for their debate and compete against other schools each term.

Tournament of Minds

Students in Years 3-6 are given the opportunity to participate in Tournament of Minds (TOM). TOM is a challenge-based competition where students will need to collaboratively develop a solution to a problem from the arts, STEM, social sciences, or language and literature disciplines. The TOM team meets weekly to prepare and develop their skills for impromptu and long-term challenges.

Strings Ensemble

Students from Year 1-5 are given the opportunity to be part of the string ensemble. There are both beginner and intermediate to advanced groups. The program is run by Mrs Ruth Choong who is a very experienced string and music teacher.
